The Story
In 1967, Alfredo Currado of Vietti made the first single-variety Arneis, rescuing a nearly extinct Piedmont grape. Today Vietti's Roero Arneis is the benchmark, grown in the sandy hills of Roero and fermented in stainless steel to keep it fresh.

In the Glass
Pale straw. White flowers, pear, white peach, melon, and a touch of almond. Dry, bright, and mineral, with a clean finish.

Pair It With
Shellfish, grilled fish, risotto, vitello tonnato, summer salads, and prosciutto with melon.

Serve
Well chilled, about 45–48°F.
