A few years ago, everything changed.
Marla — mother, wife, and friend — passed away and left a giant void in our lives. She was a honey badger and a huge teddy bear at the same time. Fierce when she needed to be, warm when it mattered most. We miss her every single day.
Marla had a strong entrepreneurial spirit and always pushed us to build something of our own. So we did. Munk Mafia Wine Mob exists because of her — built in her memory, run in her spirit, and dedicated to the idea that every bottle opened is worth toasting. So when you pop your next cork, raise a glass to Marla.

Darrin Baumunk
I’m Darrin Baumunk — ISG Diploma sommelier, Texas native, and founder of Munk Mafia Wine Mob. My job is simple: find bottles you’ll actually love and get them to your door. No wine snobbery. No filler wines. Just real picks from someone who has done the homework so you don’t have to.
What started as a way to honor Marla has grown into a community of wine lovers across Texas. Two clubs, hundreds of members, and a whole lot of good bottles opened along the way.
