Eisele Vineyard — historic Calistoga site first planted in the 1880s; made its name under Milt & Barbara Eisele, then Bart & Daphne Araujo (as Araujo Estate, 1990–2016). Now owned by Artémis Domaines (François Pinault), which also owns Château Latour.
Tasting Notes
Nose opens with fresh cut grass and hawthorn blossom; a gentle swirl unlocks candied citrus, lemongrass, verbena, ginger, and white musk. Palate delivers fresh rose petal and pink grapefruit with an unctuous, velvety honeycomb texture, finishing on poached pear, vanilla, and cinnamon.
Food Pairing
Grilled pizza with prawns and arugula; poached oysters with watercress cream sauce; shrimp tacos.
