DaGromis takes its name from Gromis, the previous owner of the original Gaja land in Barolo. It is Gaja's flagship Barolo — a multi-vineyard blend drawn from two of the appellation's most celebrated communes: La Morra, which contributes elegance and aromatic finesse, and Serralunga d'Alba, known for Helvetian limestone soils that impart muscular structure and exceptional longevity. Each lot is aged separately before blending, producing a Barolo of extraordinary complexity. The 2021 vintage was outstanding in Piedmont.

Tasting Notes
Lifted aromatics of ripe red cherry, crushed roses, orange peel, and fine spice, all framed by a precise mineral backbone. Deeper notes of wet earth, sandalwood, juniper, and subtle savory, sanguine character emerge with air. Powerful and concentrated on the palate, driven by silky, polished tannins and bright savory acidity. Flavors of raspberry, wild strawberry, licorice, and earth build through a long, persistent finish with a distinctive hint of blood orange. A wine built for decades.
