  • Summer Dreams is one of three labels, with Hundred Acre and Fortunate Son, from Jayson and Helen Woodbridge. It started as a summer-souvenir side project and grew into a Burgundian-style négociant model.
  • Fruit comes from hand-farmed hillside micro-blocks at 900–1,900 ft on Goldridge sandy loam. Ashley Holland (ex-Three Sticks) is the white winemaker.

Winery notes:  It opens with inviting aromas of ripe pear, yellow apple, and bright mandarin, layered with delicate honeysuckle, hints of pineapple, and a touch of toasted almond. On the palate, it is rich yet vibrant, offering lush stone fruit, baked apple, and creamy citrus curd, wrapped in a smooth, rounded texture that reflects both sun-kissed ripeness and cool-climate precision. A gentle note of caramelized citrus adds depth, while the finish remains lively, balanced, and persistent—echoing the interplay of warmth and fog that defines this charming Chardonnay.

  • Pairings: oysters, crab, lobster, grilled fish, sushi, goat cheese.
  • Serve: well chilled, about 50°F.

Wine making:

  • Dijon; Clone 4
  • Old Wente Crossflow filtered
  • Barrel fermented in a variety of French oak sizes. Puncheons (500L), barrels (228L), and (265L).
  • 16 months in French Oak (15% new; 15% once used).
  • At 11 months, each barrel is tested and a selection of the wine racked into stainless drums for the remainder of élevage.
