This one makes exactly one. Vigneti La Selvanella is a single 50-hectare block of Sangiovese in Radda in Chianti, the largest vineyard in the village and the largest cru in Chianti Classico. The first Riserva was the 1969. The 1971 was picked as the Chianti League’s representative wine in a 1975 blind tasting. It was also an early Gambero Rosso Tre Bicchieri winner.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eIn the glass\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003eBright ruby with garnet edges. The nose is ripe berry, violet, iris and a touch of balsam. The palate is savory and warm, with forest floor and toasted almond on a long finish.
