The winery carries his father Ettore’s name, and the family’s winemaking roots go back to 1856. Sergio trained at the enology school in Alba, made wine at Fontanafredda, then came home in 1993. Barolo is what Germano is known for. This Chardonnay comes from his Cigliè vineyards, the same fruit he uses for his Alta Langa sparkling wine. It’s the same hands and the same care, in a bottle you can open on a Tuesday.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eIn the Glass\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003eStraw yellow. Golden apple and peach on the nose, with a little citrus and a soft hint of butter.
